Hi, I’m Jazmine — a Maryland-based Brand Designer blending strategy, storytelling, and style.
A creative brand designer with cross-industry experience leading visual strategy, identity systems, and multi-platform campaigns. I specialize in balancing hands-on design execution with collaborative team leadership, client communication, and workflow optimization.
My journey began with a love for visual storytelling, sparked by childhood memories of shows like Project Runway that revealed the meaning behind design choices. While I started my college career studying fashion design, I ultimately pivoted to graphic design—where I found the perfect fusion of creativity, strategy, and human connection.
When I’m not designing, you can find me watching horror movies (yes, really!). I love how they use pacing, mood, and emotion to tell powerful stories—something I strive to bring into my work through intentional, human-first design.
Cultural Awareness & Design Integration
This project explores the intersection of culture, color theory, and visual communication. As a Cultural Design Researcher and Educator, I conducted in-depth research to better understand how color is interpreted across diverse cultural backgrounds.
Through surveys, data analysis, and cultural insight gathering, I examined how emotional, historical, and symbolic meanings of color vary across communities. The goal was to highlight the importance of cultural awareness in design and to advocate for more inclusive, intentional visual strategies.
This work aims to equip designers, educators, and brands with the knowledge to create more culturally respectful and resonant design systems.
